[And here he is, finally, wearing his bright red coat and bright blue hat ~~yes KK your best friend is a complete dork~~. Everyone else is probably off exploring/getting lost/being -EXCIT-ED or whatever, so he's alone, which is probably a good thing for embarrassing best friend reunion times.]

[Oh man there he is. Karkat's just sitting there in a chair until Sollux arrives, in his usual outfit since he doesn't have to go outside. He also has two wrapped presents, one suspiciously shaped like a Pokégear, the other rounded. And, while he doesn't smile to see his best friend - it's still him - he does look notably less angry at the world than usual.]

[Now, though, he gets up and heads over to his friend, gifts in hand.]

Sollux! There you are, man. Good to see you here. Uh.

[He scuffs a foot, looking aside, because he just knows it's the whole embarrassing reunion thing even though he said it wasn't going to be like that.]

I figured I'd get you something for that human Christmas holiday, since I'm not an asshole all the time. And I suppose maybe some sort of late Twelfth Perigee's thing too or something. It's nothing fancy - you're like, the hardest guy to pick anything for - but uh. Here.

[it wouldn't be so embarrassing if it wasn't for Karkat constantly fretting about it being embarrassing in the first place. but oh well. he actually does look happy, since Karkat doesn't seem to want to bother with that, although he does look surprised when the presents are offered.]

If I were, I would have been bugging you about it before Christmas even happened.

[He waits for Sollux to open the first present, and inevitably frowns at his reaction.]
